Hebrews Chapter 3 is a warning to the early Christian community to not neglect their salvation and to remain faithful to Christ. The author encourages them to consider Jesus as a faithful high priest and to hold fast to their confession of faith. The chapter starts by comparing Jesus to Moses, who was faithful as a servant in God’s household, but Jesus is greater because he is the Son. The author then reminds the readers that they are part of God’s household and urges them to hold onto their confidence and hope in Christ. The chapter ends with a warning not to harden their hearts, as the Israelites did in the wilderness, and to encourage one another daily so that none may be lost.
